Take care.....

Post by Merlyn on Fri Aug 08, 2008 12:47 pm

Even when you think you got everything covered.......traniing can always through you a blind side.

We were training recently with shikomi zue after demonstrating with wodden weapons we need to use a real one to illustrate several specific points of the weapon. Despite me beleiving I covered every safety option and moving very slowley I still mangaed to cut a friend very badly on a finger.

Saftey must be foremost in our minds when we train.

We all know it;s not a knitting circle we have joined but this type of injury is really unacceptable. Always take care when training with weapons both 'live' and wooden. Never forget that a hand can kill.

Always be safe in training.
